Job Description

Requirements:
Qualifications:
CPA, re
insurance
experience and/or P&C accounting experience preferred.
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or other related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
Strong GAAP and Statutory accounting knowledge.
Ability to work in flexible work environment under limited supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and commitment to meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of monthly re
insurance
cessions, including both system-generated cessions and manually booked cessions.
Ensure all re
insurance
cash is properly coded in the general ledger and accurately applied against recoverable/payable balances.
Review monthly re
insurance
balance sheet account reconciliations prepared by Re
insurance
Analyst.
Review aging and collection status of outstanding re
insurance
recoverables.
Review monthly/quarterly reporting and billing to reinsurers for accuracy and completeness.
Review monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis packages.
Review Schedule F and other statutory reporting requirements.
Review collateral requirements of re
insurance
agreements and ensure Client is fully funded.
Assist with pulling the data required for re
insurance
treaty renewals.
Review setup of treaty and facultative contracts in re
insurance
systems.
Ensure effective SOX controls are maintained and followed.
Work closely with other Re
insurance
Administration team members, as well as Actuaries, Claims and Operation Accounting.
Assists with special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as needed.
