A well established and growing agency in beautiful downtown St. Augustine, FL is seeking a Personal Lines Producer to join their organization. The Personal Lines Producer will handle strictly new business sales of home, auto, general liability and flood business for to prospective customers of this excellent independent agency.  

Essentials duties and responsibilities
  • Identify, implement, monitor and service online sales leads daily.
  • Contact prospects for the purpose of providing a quote and making sales appointments.
  • Survey prospects to determine insurance needs, inspecting current insurance policies, risk management plans, property, products and records.
  • Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance including details of coverages, limits, deductibles and other pertinent information using a consultative approach. 
  • Complete company submissions and selection of potential carriers.
  • Conduct prospective client appointments communicating proposals and renewals, explaining details and communicating desire to conduct business.
  • Introduce service person to clients and request that service calls be directed to them and forward all service-related calls to assigned service person.
  • Stay informed of all claims or service issues and become involved in resolution when required.
  • Participate in renewals, when appropriate, by reviewing expiration listing with service person to determine appropriate action and collection of information to prepare renewal submissions.
  • Maintain production reports and attend all sales meetings as required. 

Key qualifications
  • Work experience - 3 or more years of experience working as a Account Manager or Producer in an agency handling personal lines accounts. 
  • Education - A high school diploma is required and additional education like college degrees or insurance designations are strongly preferred.  
  • Computer Skills – Intermediate or better skills for Microsoft Windows, MS Office and Agency Management Systems like Applied TAM.
  • Licensing – A Florida 2-20 agents license
  • Insurance designations such as the CPUC, CIC, ARM are highly desirable
