A financial services organization dealing in insurance is seeking a Human Resources professional to join their organization as their next Human Resources Manager.  The HR Manager will be responsible for formulating, promoting and implementing human resource values, policies and programs for the company.  Other duties will include the following:
  • Develops organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing HR objectives in line with organizational objectives.
  • Implements HR strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.
  • Manages HR operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation data; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
  • Develops HR operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Supports senior management by providing HR advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and applications.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight or more years of HR experience, with at least 5 of those years in a management capacity, be a college graduate, have attained or is working on a HR  designation(s) and have broad experience in all HR functions. Prior HR experience in the insurance industry will be a big plus. Our client provides a very competitive compensation package, an outstanding benefits package, a stimulating corporate culture, possible relocation assistance, and an opportunity for future growth and advancement to an officer's role.
