In this highly visible role, reporting to the Group Controller and interacting with the executive team, you'll be responsible for applying proper accounting policies under multiple accounting bases including GAAP, IFRS, PRC GAAP and US Statutory into the fabric of the organization. This is a key role which oversees regulatory compliance with SEC reporting requirements. Ideally you'll be able to provide strong accounting policy guidance to day to day operations, M&A transactions and debt and equity offerings. You'll help the Group Controller in preparing 10Qs, 10Ks and you'll identify updated disclosure requirements and assist in drafting new disclosures. This is a global role where you'll also help global subsidiaries be successful.
The Client is in the billion dollar plus range in terms of top line, is attracting some significant names from the insurance industry (especially recently) and is building out a number internal groups such as investments, reporting, FP&A, accounting policy, audit and tax. All of this is being driven by growth and an IPO.
In terms of its footprint, the Client is an international carrier with worldwide interests in insurance and reinsurance and locations/operations in Bermuda, New York, London and other locations overseas. Public Accounting experience is preferred. A fuller job description is available.
